Pepakura for the unfold;
Photoshop for cleaning-up, minor corrections, enhancing decals and the instructions
I've printed out the parts. Just getting the courage to attempt my first ever papercraft build...
I really want to build the UHU02 Tie Fighter but, oh my goodness, I think I have a year of practice ahead of my first.
For a first ever build I'd even advise against my models, I like small parts. There are some easier Tie fighters out there that you can try first. I do recommend starting with an easy model or two, just to get the hang of it, but don't worry, it gets easier very fast.
Of course if you really are interested in the hobby, why not join up at zealot.com and/or papermodelers.com, there are lots of extremely friendly people on both forums willing to give advice and assistance.
I've already started cutting the Cerberus, it's fiddly but I think the cut lines are clean. I guess the worst that happens is I lose the paper and a few hours work.
I've got a couple TIE kits, I want to try the (still hard) Leonf repaint of Ninjatoes version, but also the easy (but boxy) TIE Defender and Phantom. They look like they could be done in a couple of hours so if I get disheartened with this build I can take a break and knock them up.
Anyway thanks for the response. Hope to do the SR2 justice.
